Technology Sound Bite: (A CDE Event) YellowDig, an Alternative to the Blackboard Discussion Board (Registration Closed)

Tuesday, August 25, 2020 @ 2:45 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

This event is developed and offered by UVM Continuing and Distance Education. YellowDig, a social media engagement platform, provides students with a rich way to connect with each other and with instructors. In this session, you will learn about YellowDig’s features, how it is integrated with Blackboard (e.g., no additional logging in, grading data transfer), and compare its features to Blackboard Discussion Board so that you can choose the tool that best meets your course goals.

Until December 31, 2020 all faculty can use YellowDig without any license restrictions. Beyond that date, licenses may be limited. This 6-minute video by UVM Animal Science Senior Lecturer Jenny Wilkinson explains what YellowDig is and how it has worked in her classes.

Facilitated by Alex Messinger, Jenny Wilkinson, and Victoria Hart.

You will receive a Microsoft Teams calendar invitation 1-2 days prior to your event explaining how to join and participate in the meeting.  If you click “accept,” it will populate on your Teams calendar for easy access!
