Using Universal Design for Learning to Plan Your Higher Education Course

FreeUniversal Design for Learning (UDL) is a research-based instructional framework that instructors can use to create a dynamic learning environment for a diverse range of students. The goal of this professional development module is to have participants begin the process of using UDL in course design and implementation. This course module is all online in Blackboard.
This (non-credit bearing) online course module is one week in length: Monday March 11, 2019 – Monday March 18, 2019.Registration is required.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to describe the three principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Participants will create a plan to implement UDL in their own teaching using “backward design.”
- Participants will design at least one assessment with UDL options for their course.
