Designing Writing Assignments and Assessments with AI/ChatGPT in Mind

Thursday, October 12, 2023 @ 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm

Free

During this workshop, which will focus on assignments participants share, we’ll explore how to design and balance writing assignments, activities, and assessments that take into account the limits and possibilities of generative AI/ChatGPT. Please bring a copy of an assignment(s) from one of your classes so that we can explore the specific issues raised in context. You’ll leave with ideas for creating assignments and evaluating learning in your courses in light of this evolving technology.

Facilitated by Susanmarie Harrington, WID Director, and Randall Harp, Associate Professor of Philosophy

Please reserve this time on your calendar. We’ll send you a Teams link prior to the event.

This time doesn’t work for you? We are also offering a session on Monday, October 9th, at 12pm.
