Course Design That Works: A Prelock Online Teaching Award Finalists’ Roundtable (POSTPONED)

FreeSee a ‘course tour’ highlighting different dimensions of effective online course design. Participating in this roundtable are the student-nominated finalists for the 2022 Prelock Online Teaching Award (featuring both synchronous and asynchronous courses).These instructors are a phenomenal group of finalists, selected from over 80 student submissions. Each panelist will focus on one of the 5 award criteria, with time for questions after each presenter.

- Jennifer Jorgenson: Staying Organized (ease of navigation and consistency)
- Sefakor Komabu-Pomeyie: A Course for Everyone (inclusive design)
- Marie Vea: Being Social (student engagement)
As we migrate to Brightspace, this is a perfect opportunity to learn from your colleagues about the design and facilitation elements that will engage students. “You have something to learn even if you don’t teach online,” explains CTL Director Susanmarie Harrington.
