FreeWhat is Rhetorical Discernment anyway? Join Professors Deb Noel (English) and Mike Ashooh (Philosophy) to explore ways of teaching students to understand how and why different kinds of texts achieve different purposes for different audiences. Two short teaching demonstrations will offer a taste of rhetorical discernment in texts students read, as well as texts students write. Ample time for discussion follows.
