Inclusive Teaching Book Group

FreeJoin us for a discussion of the book Inclusive Teaching: Strategies for Promoting Equity in the College Classroom (Sathy and Hogan, 2022). This book group builds on Sathy and Hogan’s visit to UVM earlier this fall and provides an opportunity to dig deeper into the book’s practical strategies for welcoming all students, fostering a sense of belonging, and enhancing peer and student-teaching relationships. Sathy and Hogan’s framework emphasizes how structured instruction and transparent communication with students builds equity and inclusion. In addition, it addresses how documenting your experiences can support your growth as a reflective instructor.
This book group meets twice. Register here for both sessions: November 8th and November 29 (also at 10 – 11 AM). We will meet on Microsoft Teams and a link will be sent to you the day before each meeting.
Participants who need a copy of the book can find it online via Howe Library.
