Why Can’t Students Understand Your Assignments? Insights from the Writing Center Tutors
April 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeJoin us for a student panel on how undergraduates actually experience the directions for writing assignments. With tactful candor, undergraduate tutors will share their takes on what makes it easy—or not!–for students to engage with assignments. Bring your questions and curiosity, and let’s talk about how to communicate effectively with your students.
Facilitated by Susanmarie Harrington, Writing in the Disciplines Director; Holly Painter, Undergraduate Writing Center Interim Director; and a panel of Undergraduate Writing Center Tutors.
This is a hybrid workshop. Our panel of tutors will be in-person in 302 Howe Library. You are welcome to join us there or on Teams. Please reserve this time on your calendar! You will receive a calendar invitation and Teams link, but it may not be until the day before the event.
If you need any accommodations to participate in this workshop, please don’t hesitate to reach out to wid@uvm.edu!
